Boating on the 600-acre Cherry Lake offers opportunities for virtually every kind of water sport from water skiing and knee-boarding to swimming and sailing, not to mention the quality fishing for largemouth bass and most all pan fish varieties. Cherry Lake is the sight of a beautiful water front county park which offers restrooms, picnic tables, a boat ramp and a great swimming area.
Four Freedoms Trail
The 12 mile recreational trail extends north from the city limits of Madison to the Withlacoochee River at the Florida-Georgia border. People can enjoy walking, biking and horseback riding along the paved trail, which provides covered rest areas along the way.
